No Rest For Wicked Souls

As Marcus Aurelius reminds us: “Do not act as if you had ten thousand years to throw away. Death stands at your elbow. Be good for something while you live and it is in your power.”
This design is no exception to our steadfast Stoic approach and philosophy.
The skeleton symbolises mortality, bearing the weight of the world overhead while riding the bald eagle—a creature of strength and freedom. Together, these images evoke the relentless pursuit of purpose and the inevitability of our own end. Without trying to sound too much like wannabe 'art curators', we wanted it to resonate with those who have walked a path filled with adversity.
Marcus speaks to tireless effort and the urgency of living fully. Rest is for those who settle for mediocrity or complacency. In contrast, "No rest" is a virtue—a testament to dedication and resolve.
But what of “wicked souls"? Everyone’s definition of wicked is different. To some, wickedness may simply be the perception of the enemy. For others, it’s the weight of deeds done out of necessity—burdens that leave their mark on the soul.
Here, we nod to the restless nature of those who carry such burdens. As Marcus Aurelius also said: “The soul is dyed by the thoughts it keeps”. Restless souls are often forged in the fires of inner turmoil, shaped by their actions and mindset. But therein lies the truth: all of this remains within our control.
So, here’s to you, brothers and sisters. Whatever struggle you’re going through—whether it’s starting a business, taking on a new job, joining the military, preparing for deployment, working through injury or illness, or just feeling like you've lost your way—stay in the fight. We’re with you every step of the way, shoulder to shoulder, because there’s no rest for wicked souls…
